SigEp at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville held its 2024 Balanced Man Scholarship Banquet, a celebration of SigEp’s core values of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. The event was highlighted by two powerful speeches that embodied the values SigEp stands for.
National Grand Chapter President Brad Nahrstadt spoke on the qualities of a great leader, emphasizing the importance of having a vision and the motivation to turn dreams into reality. He encouraged attendees to embrace risk, persevere in the face of adversity, and continue inspiring others, noting that great leaders are not afraid to fail but instead learn and grow from their challenges.
Dr. Tammy Evetovich, Chancellor and Faculty Fellow at UW-Platteville, shared her thoughts on what it means to be a SigEp gentleman on campus. She highlighted the fraternity's commitment to being well-rounded men—leaders, scholars, and athletes—and expressed how proud she is of the positive impact SigEp members have on the university community.
A major milestone was also celebrated, as the Balanced Man Scholarship program has now awarded over $50,000 in scholarships at UW-Platteville since its inception in 1999.
