This years Spring Banquet was held in Velzy Commons, Ullsvik Hall on Saturday, April 20th! We had 134 attendees at Banquet this year, making it one of our highest attended banquets ever!
Undergraduate Awards
During each Spring Banquet, the Undergraduate Chapter recognizes brothers who exemplify each of the Cardinal Principles of Sigma Phi Epsilon, along with one brother who embodies all three of the Cardinal Principles to the fullest extent. For this year, Brother CJ Meier exemplified the principle of Virtue, Brother Ty Meyer embodied the principle of Diligence, and Brother Ryan Bergeman epitomized Brotherly Love. Brother Jace Joiner was then recognized as this years Outstanding SigEp!

Alumni Awards
Brother Jeff Pingel, newly elected AVC Treasurer and Chair of the Scholarships and Awards Committee, presented awards on behalf of the AVC. Brother Brad Polzar was recognized for his outstanding volunteer work with the AVC by being recognized as the 2024 Volunteer of the Year. Renaissance Brother and Campus Advisor Chef Jon Peavey was then recognized for his efforts mentoring the undergraduates by being recognized as the 2024 Mentor of the Year. Undergraduate Brother Andy Mills was then recognized with two awards: the Outstanding Servant award and the Lee N. Zastrow Memorial Scholarship for his outstanding community service hours and embodiment of Late Brother Lee Zastrow’s spirit and drive.
Brother Dawson VanWinkle, AVC Vice President, then recognized Faculty Fellow Becky Hass with the Outstanding New Volunteer of the Year award. Although she has only been in the faculty fellow role for around a year, Becky has used her role as the Student Affairs Manager to help many brothers become involved with organizations across campus and has been a constant advisor/mentor to brothers who have taken on leadership roles within student organizations such as SUFAC, UGC, and Student Senate.
Lastly, Brother Ian Seidler, undergraduate Chapter Counselor, recognized University Chancellor Tammy Evetovich with the University Partner of the Year award. When Chancellor Evetovich joined the campus, the undergraduate brothers reached out in hopes of forming a connection between the Greek community and campus administration. Since those initial talks, Chancellor Evetovich has become a faculty fellow to the chapter and regularly hosts talks during chapter meetings!
